Spanish school
Our Spanish school in Bolivia is located in the heart of the beautiful colonial city of Sucre, just a few blocks from the city center and all of its attractions. There are lots of nice little cafes, bars, restaurants and places to stroll.
The language school is located in a beautiful building and has 6 classrooms. The house also has a cozy lounge, two terraces, one with a great view of the city, and a pretty courtyard, where students can take breaks or meet after school. Furthermore, the Spanish school is equipped with a kitchen, a multimedia room and a small library for book exchange.
Our language school in Sucre offers one of the most prestigious Spanish programs in Bolivia. The students come from all over the world, which contributes to a great atmosphere and will make your stay even more interesting! Lessons are given by native Spanish speakers. Our teachers have experience in teaching Spanish as a foreign language and ensure that every student can keep up with the pace of learning.
In addition to Spanish classes, special workshops are offered to deepen specific linguistic aspects such as grammar or listening and speaking exercises.
The materials accompanying the lessons were designed according to the guidelines of the Spanish “Instituto Cervantes”. The classes are divided into six levels of difficulty. In addition to grammar, the focus of the course lays on communication training and many practical exercises as well as vocabulary training.
Leisure activities
Are regularly offered by the language school (e.g. city tour, cooking classes, dance classes, excursions, sports, grammar workshops, conversation exercises, etc.). The offers are subject to change, and some activities and excursions require an additional payment on site.
Internet
WiFi is available in the school and can be used free of charge by the students.
School location
Sucre is a pretty colonial town in the highlands of Bolivia and the constitutional capital and seat of the Supreme Court of Bolivia. Located in front of a beautiful mountain scenery, the "white city" is home to almost 300,000 inhabitants and attracts with a friendly atmosphere. Stress and hurry are unknown words in Sucre and visitors quickly get used to the relaxed flow in the streets. When you stroll through the streets, you quickly forget that you are in a capital.
Located at almost 2,800 meters, Sucre has a very pleasant, temperate climate and is considered one of the most beautiful cities in South America with its well-groomed squares and parks. The old town with its white buildings is one of the best-preserved Spanish colonial cities in South America and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1991.
Sucre looks like a large open-air museum and has numerous cozy restaurants, bars, cafes, small shops and markets, where you can buy pretty handicrafts.
The numerous “plazas” invite you to linger and to watch the everyday life. Many residents of Sucre are of indigenous origin and often dress in their traditional costume, which makes the cityscape colorful and diverse. Sucre is also a university town and offers a lively student- and nightlife.
Around three hours from Sucre, you can find the city of Potosi with the 'Cerro Rico' (the rich mountain), one of the most important silver mines in the world. In the 17th century, Potosí was the most populated and richest city in all Latin America because of the silver. It is said that the streets in Potosi were once paved with silver - have a look for yourself. Sucre and Potosi are important places in Bolivian history.
Not only is human history very interesting in and around Sucre, you can even discover real dinosaur footprints on a paleontological site!

Accommodation
An important aspect of language travels in Bolivia is a nice and safe accommodation. We want our students to get to know the Bolivian culture and way of life as intensively as possible, in order to make the language trip a great cultural experience. You have two alternative accommodation options:
Homestay
Our students live in carefully selected homestays. You get your own room with shared bathroom and you have access to the common areas. You will soon get to know and understand the lifestyle and customs of the Bolivians - a truly unique asset! Homestay accommodation includes half board (breakfast and dinner) and a weekly laundry service. So far, all language students have been enthusiastic about the culinary skills of our hosts and with a little luck, you may even be able to learn one or the other recipe and take it home.
School Residence
If you would like to live a little more independently, you are welcome to live in our school residence. It is located directly at the language school itself and there are 9 pretty bedrooms available.
