Spanish school
Our Spanish school in Santiago de Chile is located in the beautiful district of Providencia, in the popular neighborhood of "Bellavista", just to the feet of Santiago’s hill "Cerro San Cristobal" and South America's largest inner-city park. Bellavista is a nightlife area with many bars, cafes, restaurants and small shops, as well as museums and theaters. A lot of artists live and work here, so you will find many ateliers and art galleries. The language school is very well connected to the public transportation network; subway and bus stops are just a few steps away.
Our language school in Santiago de Chile looks back on 40 years of successful teaching experience and convinces through international standards and the high quality of the language courses. In the colorful and cozy schoolhouse, there are 12 classrooms to accommodate more than 70 students in total. There is a computer room with free internet access and common areas. During the breaks, students can relax with drinks and cookies, which is always a great moment to get to know each other. The language students come from all over the world, so look forward to an international, interesting atmosphere.
In addition to classes, the Spanish school offers free afternoon programs, such as movie sessions to watch and discuss Chilean movies.
And, the dancing and cooking classes, where you can learn a lot about Latino culture and Chilean cuisine, are particularly popular. You can also take part in conversation exercises and a workshop on the Chilean dialect.
On the weekends, the Spanish school organizes regular recreational activities and excursions to show you more of the country and culture. Those excursions are also a great oportunity to train the Spanish skills you have acquired during your language course. Day trips to the Pacific coast to Valparaíso and Viña del Mar and to the amazing house of the Chilean Nobel Laureate Pablo Neruda in Isla Negra are very popular. Furthermore, the school also offers hiking and rafting in the Andes or ski trips during winter, as well as wine tasting tours.
Leisure activities
There is a wide range of leisure activities, such as cooking lessons, dancing lessons, horseback riding, outdoor sports, visit to museums or markets, etc. Some activities and excursions require an additional payment, others are free.
Internet
WIFI is available at the school and can be used free of charge.
School location
Chile’s Capital Santiago is located right in the middle of the country and separates the arid north from the green south. It has around 7 million inhabitants and is the political, cultural and economic hub. Santiago combines the characteristics of a modern capital with those of a colonial city.
Despite all the hustle and bustle, you will find beautiful places to relax, old colonial buildings and a lively urban culture with museums, theaters and more in this amazing city. Small craft markets and large vegetable markets, green meadows, countless restaurants and pubs in beautiful nightlife areas invite you to linger and discover. Santiago is home to numerous universities, so you will also find many international students here.
The Santiaguinos, how the inhabitants of Santiag are called, are usually friendly and helpful people and interested in international visitors.
Santiago offers you so many options: Where else can you say: "Are we going to the beach today and skiing in the Andes tomorrow, or the other way round?" Both options are equally easily accessible from Santiago. Really close by, there are also idyllic wine valleys where you can taste excellent Chilean wines. The climate in Santiago de Chile is Mediterranean, with hot summers (December - March) and moderate winters (June-August). It rains very little and if so, only in the winter.

Accommodation
Part of the language study trip to Chile is the appropriate accommodation. Our students in Santiago de Chile can book a single room in a local homestay.
Homestays are rooms in private homes where one or more rooms are rented. In most homestays, the host also lives in the accommodation. The homestay hosts are open-minded and enjoy taking in people from abroad.
The host may be a single person, e.g. older Señoras, young professionals or students, but also couples and families. All accommodations are furnished and located in a good and safe residential area. A good connection to local transportation is given in all cases. Internet is always available, and half board can be booked.
