Volunteer Work in a National Park
(Costa Rica)
I’m doing great thank you so much! I was actually already in Costa Rica, volunteering with another association based in Garabito, so I’ve already seen quite a lot but I’m so excited to start my projet in Nicoya Península today! I met with Lorenzo on Saturday where he explained everything to me, and my stay with my host family was an absolute dream. My host mother was so nice and patient, especially since I don’t speak Spanish very well, but despite the language barrier I felt immensely welcomed and safe! The comfort of the house was also very nice after a month of volunteering. I therefore spent three days in San Jose: on the first one I did the combo tour and visited a volcano, coffee plantation and National park, and the two next days I visited the capital on my own wandering in various museums to learn about the culture of the country. Ever since I arrived and got in touch with people from South America Inside, I’ve felt very supported and in trust. Thankfully I had zero problems but I knew I could reach out if I did, and everybody I met was incredibly nice and attentive to my every needs.
So I’m doing all good, thanks for checking in! I’ll keep you updated on how my programm goes 🙂
