Project details
The project site is a family-run agency in the south of the island of Chiloé. The agency was founded in 2014 and consists of an aparthotel and a small travel agency for trips around the island. It is located in the center of the small town of Castro, known for its beautiful location and picturesque stilt houses. The aparthotel is located just outside the city in a beautiful setting.
The agency employs about 8 people between 20-65 years. The aparthotel has 20 rooms and can accommodate up to 70 people. Most guests come from Chile, Argentina, Europe and the USA. The rooms of the aparthotel are rustic and cozy, just like the style on Chiloé. Cozy rural with beautiful open terraces and a magnificent view of the sea.

In the accommodation you have access to WiFi Internet.
Location
The island of Chiloé is a popular destination for both locals and foreigners. Chiloé, the main island of the archipelago of the same name, is located in the south Chiles. It is home to wide grazing landscapes and is known for its iconic wooden churches built by Jesuit missionaries in the 17th and 18th century were built. On the northwest coast where blue whales live gather, one finds the 3 small islands and natural heritage sites "Islotes de Puñihuil” and a breeding site for Magellanic and Humboldt penguins.
The island of Chiloé is said to have a certain mysticism and tourism is one of the main sources of income, alongside fishing and agriculture.
The agency and apart-hotel are located in Castro on Chiloé, the capital of the country's second largest island. Castro has approximately 42,000 inhabitants and is located 40 meters above sea level in the middle of the island of Chiloé, around 164 km south of Puerto Montt on the mainland. The famous Panamericana runs through the city.
The climate is cool and exceptionally humid. The average temperature is about 10 °C with fluctuations mostly between 0 and 20, rarely up to 24 °C. The annual precipitation is almost 1600 mm per year.
